Devil's Canal: Prague’s Hidden Venice

Čertovka / Devil's Canal is one of the most atmospheric hidden places in Prague. This narrow canal runs beside Kampa Island, just a short distance from Charles Bridge, old mills and historic riverside houses.

Often called Prague Venice, Devil's Canal feels completely different from the busy streets above. From the water, the buildings rise close around you, the canal becomes quiet and intimate, and you get a glimpse of old Prague that most visitors never experience.

On our sunrise kayak tour, Devil's Canal is one of the highlights of the route. After paddling beneath Charles Bridge and enjoying views of Prague Castle, we enter the canal slowly and quietly, with time to enjoy the atmosphere and take photos.

It is a calm, beginner-friendly part of the experience and one of the best places to feel the peaceful side of Prague from the water.

Hidden canal. Historic mills. Local guide. Photos included. No kayaking experience needed.
